Quarter-Life Crisis: 10 Signs That You Are Experiencing This

It is one week before my 26th birthday. Everything in my existence seems to be on the wrong side. My work isn’t giving me excitement anymore. And going out with friends feels like impossible to do. Making a budget is totally draining. Everything is a mess, and I can’t fix it. This is my quarter-life crisis. I started asking myself, do I really have that future of accomplishment that I thought I would have? Would I have that impact on the world that I am hoping to create? Is living now and surviving more years having a point anyway? Quarter-life crisis, as described by The Guardian: young, insecure and depressed. I am young. I am insecure. I am depressed. And I am experiencing my quarter life crisis. This phenomenon hits those who are in their early twenties to thirties, or those who enter the “real world” as they labeled it; or after they completed their education. 10 Signs That You Are Experiencing Quarter-Life Crisis You are reading this article right now because the title got your …

Boracay Island, Philippines’s White Beach Vlog

My 2017 started on experiencing my first time to fly in an airplane bound for Boracay Island. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Philippine Airlines for the safe trip travel. And also to my friends Koi and Kenny for the awesome trip. We booked our way to Aklan last year November. As this was my first time to travel via plane, it was also our first time to travel together outside Metro Manila. We didn’t opt to do any physical activities in Boracay, instead enjoyed our 4D3N-stay on day and night drinking, sightseeing, eating delicious food, and walking by the shore at late nights. Our flight to Kalibo was delayed for three hours and we were worried about our transfer from Kalibo Airport to Caticlan-Boracay. We didn’t book any bus or car on our way there. Good thing upon arrival, Southwest Tours Boracay Inc. was available and offered us a one-way car transfer from Kalibo to Caticlan, two-way boat transfers, and one-way bus transfer from Caticlan-Kalibo. However, due to encountering crazy people while …

What’s On My iPhone?

I‘ve been wanting to write about this topic since I’ve been seeing a lot of videos on YouTube. You may ask me why I didn’t just create a video blog like those on YouTube, well, to be honest, I am not confident with my speaking voice nor seeing my face on a video. Also, I’m not really good with editing videos. So yeah, I decided to just write it. By the way, I have a spacegray iPhone SE. (I don’t have much on my iPhone right now since I reset it to factory default, and downloaded a few apps that I normally use.)  Lockscreen I love this wallpaper that I got from Google. It reminds me of how I am excited about my Boracay trip next week. And oh, it’s pink and blue. Apps I have deleted some of iPhone’s stock apps since I don’t really use them. Let me list those apps that can’t be deleted and I usually us. Calendar I always make sure that all important events are on my calendar especially birthdays …

The Sunday Currently | 04

I missed writing Sunday Currently entries! Well, I miss(ed) writing in general. It’s been a while since the last time my fingers went to function. I don’t know but I don’t have the drive in writing on my blog anymore. You know I have this on and off relationship with blogging. Maybe I just don’t have the spirit to express my thoughts anymore. It is upsetting because I feel like I am to lose a part of myself. But hey, today’s a good time to write. Sundays are usually my most unproductive day even I have the whole day for myself. The normal routine was to sleep all day and watch movies or TV shows at night. But today, I was able to spend “quality” time with Dann (my boyfriend). We were up early than the usual wake up time. We continued watching The OA. Well, I have watched the first season weeks ago, but Dann has three more episodes to finish it. Currently Writing The Sunday Currently! I started this series last September 20, …

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – Quick Movie Review

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is one of the five spin-off films in J. K. Rowling’s Potter-verse. It takes us to a new age, decades before Harry Potter and half a world away. I would like to thank Brand Philosophy for the experience and the goodies.  I am rating the movie 4 out of 5 stars. The movie feels like a more adult Potter film, but still curious and remarkable. It is Rowling’s first such credit since her script was used here. Story There are developing dangers in the wizarding world of 1926 New York. Something mysterious is leaving a path of devastation in the streets, threatening to expose the wizarding community to the Second Salamers, a fanatical faction of No-Majs (muggles) bent on eliminating them. And the powerful, dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, after inflicting havoc in Europe, has slipped away… and is now nowhere to be found. Unacquainted of the rising tensions, Newt Scamander arrives in the city nearing the end of a global excursion to research and rescue magical creatures, and …

Liebster Award 2016 x Peanut Butter Bites

Back in the year 2008, awards and “tags” were famous among bloggers. It was the year where you would find more bloggers across the globe. You would get to know more about a blogger if he or she gets tagged, and participated. Then years has passed, awards and “tags” became a rare thing on the blogosphere. So I would like to thank Mei for nominating me for Liebster Award. The Liebster Award 2016 is an award that exists only on the internet and is given to bloggers by other bloggers. The earliest case of the award goes as far back as 2011. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. The award is a way to be discovered but also to connect and support the blogging community. A great idea in promoting your own blog and others. Originally it was given out to blogs with less than 2000 readers but this has slowly lowed as the reward has gained popularity. It is now only 200 readers or less. If you …

The Sunday Currently | 03

My partner went to Fairview to visit his folks so I was left alone yesterday and he’ll be back later tonight. Good thing my officemate and I decided to visit a local coffee shop in my area to spend Saturday. The coffee shop is called United Coffee. I will post a review about the shop in a separate blog entry. reading Hollow City by Ransom Riggs. Thanks to my friend for giving me his book. It was unopened. He bought a complete pack of Miss Peregrine’s, and decided to give the second book to me. Thank you! 🙂 I like how the book has illustrations inside it. Hopefully I get to finish Hollow City before the month ends. Yup, this is how long I read and finish a book. A post shared by Clint Mamuri (@camamuri21) on Oct 16, 2016 at 10:44pm PDT thinking About my savings! I need to spend a little less and focus on my needs only. Things I Should Start/Stop Doing

Because I seriously need to get my life together. Start: Running – I hate sports or sports hates me. IDK. But I want to start running because I feel like I’m physically unfit. I don’t want to wait for that moment when my strength is needed, and I don’t have any to offer. Drinking water – I’m no water drinker. To be honest, I cannot complete eight glasses of water every day. I would say I only consume two glasses of water, and that’s a shame. I replace water with colored drink; usually coffee and tea. People would notice that my lips were dry. So, I downloaded an app to remind me on drinking water. It’s called WaterMinder. Blogging more – Years before, I usually update my blog regularly, exchange comments with my fellow bloggers, and attend blogger meetups. This was the time when blogging is all about sharing. But now, things have changed. People blog solely to earn. I have visited famous bloggers in the Philippines and I noticed that they do not reply to comments. But there are …

Marginalia Vol. 1

An accumulation of things I’ve spared from the previous years to now: — a postcard from India when a friend enjoyed a visit to a tea and spice plantation. — Local Edition’s rewards card — Caleruega, Philippines: a leaflet — instant print from someone I really, really like <3 — tickets from the second movie that we watched (can’t find the first tickets: Finding Dory). I’m being cheesy ’cause I am keeping these. Lol ⊗ Have you been keeping some things? I haven’t really kept a lot, but these are the ones I have right now. I feel like I should keep important things for reminding myself of memories I might forget especially those that made me happy.
