The Rebirth of the Slogan T-shirt

Whether it’s Twitter, Facebook or blogs, we’re always looking for a creative outlet to make a statement. Nowadays, even the fashion world is stepping in to help us do so.

Previously, slogan t-shirts were resigned to the cringe-inducing likes of David Hasselhoff, with his now iconic ‘Don’t hassle the Hoff’ number. However, 2013 has seen the slogan t-shirt revamped and reworked and it is now more fashionable than ever.

Here are some of our favourites that let your clothes do the talking…

ASOS T-Shirt With Lionel Ritchie Print – $21.36

 slogan1

When you think of Lionel Ritchie, you may not instantly think of him as a supercool style icon. However, although you may not want to admit it, how many times have you found yourself singing along to his 1984 hit, ‘Hello’? This fun t-shirt is a great way of showing your sense of humour and cheeky side, and will be a great conversation starter. We wonder how many people will sing ‘…is it me you’re looking for?’ to you when you’re wearing it.

Lazy Oaf T-Shirt with Love Money Pizza Print – $67.63

 slogan2

We never thought a man’s life could be captured so accurately on a t-shirt! This Lazy Oaf t-shirt depicts a man’s three favourites: love, money and pizza. Admittedly, this t-shirt is a little more expensive than the others, but what you lose in cash you’ll make up for in style points!

New Look T-Shirt with Fresh Print – $23.12

 slogan3

This shirt will tell everybody exactly what you are – fresh! Not only is this shirt simple but effective, it’s also practical too, with its long sleeves making it perfect for winter. The raglan sleeves are a classic American style, helping you to keep it real.

If these shirts aren’t cutting it for you, why not create your own slogan top? Companies like Your Design offer a great printing service that you can use to personalise almost any item. Think up a slogan that encapsulates your personality and get it emblazoned on a t-shirt. Or, you could go practical and get some personalised hoodies instead?  These will keep you warm when the temperature starts to drop.

All of the shirts featured in this post are available from ASOS. Click here to visit their site.
